Questions, that may occur, while using Oxygen Phone Manager for Nokia phones:
Q. I received the keycode, but the program doesn't accept it! What can I do? A. First, be sure you are entering the keycode without any spaces or empty lines and to the correct program version. If that won't hep, please do the following: carefully copy/paste that keycode to Notepad, name it opm.key and save to the OPM II folder.
Q. I am able to read the data from my phone, but cannot write anything back. What should I do? A. You probably haven't yet registered your phone to the program. You can find the instructions in the very letter, was sent you with the keycode and the links or here.
Q. I'm trying to register my phone, but not getting any answer from the Robot. What to do? A. You should save you registration data to a file by clicking Save to file button in Phone - Register/Unregister phone menu and sent that file to our support address. We will register your phone manually and sent you the keycode. Please, note: we don't work on weekends and nights.
Q. All the phones in "My phones" tree are called as "Unknown". Why? A. This is the default alias for every connected phone. In order to discriminate between the several phones of the same model you can give a short description to each phone. To do that, go to the phone information window and enter the new alias.
Q. I'm connecting my phone to the program using DLR3 cable, but cannot find right cable type to choose and the program doesn't see my phone. A. In Tools - Options - Connection&Common menu you should choose needed COM port with the Add port button. After you did this, set the connection type by clicking once in the Connection type window.
Q. I'm connecting my phone to the program using Bluetooth, but the program doesn't see my phone! A. In Tools - Options - Connection&Common menu you should choose needed COM port with the Add port button. After you did this, set Bluetooth Serial port by clicking once in the Connection type window.
Q. I'm connecting my phone to the program using IrDa, but I get an error message saying "unknown error". A. This could of happened in one of the following causes: - IrDa drivers are not installed correctly; - you probably have any other program to work with the phone installed on your PC and it can break the connection; - if you are using Sigmatel IrDa stack, you should set it to Sigmatel 400, Sigmatel 4000 or Vishay 610 E/F.
Q. I need to change my registration data (e-mail address or name). What should I do? A. You should contact our support team specifying your previouse registration data (SaleID, name and e-mail) and your new e-mail or name. We will change it in our data base and sent you the new keycode, you should use from the moment.
