Writing data to the phone

To write the phonebook to the phone, press button btnwrite on the toolbar or select Phonebook | Read phonebook from menu.

Before writing, the program checks data to be written. It prohibits writing if at least one of the following is true: phone number fields contain illegal symbols; the length of the entry is longer then phones memory or SIM-card can store. Remember that only name and default phone number will be stored to the phone (Nokia restriction).

Please make backup copies in a file before writing to the phone.

The names and phone numbers will be truncated to the maximum possible number of characters. It depends on the model of your phone and SIM-card. Before writing program checks data validity and warns you if it found some problems. If you proceed, the long strings will be truncated and illegal characters are removed from phone numbers.

Please, note that not all national characters can be saved to the SIM-card.

Don't forget that if you didn't download entries from the phone they will be erased during upload!
